Meet Our Team! Dr. Foye and The Team at Longview Animal Hospital look forward to working with you and your pets! Read more about each of us in the section below.
Dr. Brian M. Foye
Dr. Foye grew up in Lancaster, Texas (just south of Dallas) and then headed to The University of Texas at Austin. After graduating with an advertising degree, he spent several years as a writer in a few advertising agencies in Dallas and at Home and Garden Television (HGTV). During his time at HGTV, he had a “calling” to become a veterinarian. After another 7 years of college, he received his DVM degree in 2009 from Colorado State University, which is annually ranked as one of the top three veterinary schools in the nation.
Dr. Foye desperately wanted to return to Texas to begin his veterinary career, which led him back to Austin. He spent almost two years at a large, 8-veterinarian practice before deciding to move to East Texas to get closer to family. This took him to Marshall, Texas, where he worked almost a year at a 3-doctor practice before deciding to purchase his own animal clinic here in Longview. Dr. Foye purchased Longview Animal Hospital in December of 2011.
After remodeling and updating the equipment, he re-opened the vet clinic in January of 2012 and has enjoyed getting to meet all of his “inherited” clients and patients as well as the many new ones that have made Longview Animal Hospital their veterinary services home since he bought the practice. His special interests in animal services are ophthalmology, orthopedics and dermatology.
When he’s not at the animal clinic, Dr. Foye enjoys spending time with his wife Jill and their two children, as well as playing and watching football (especially his Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys). He also enjoys scuba diving, fishing/camping, and volunteering at New Covenant Church. At home, he has a chocolate lab, Rocky; a black lab, RJ; a husky, Kota; a miniature schnauzer, Dace and two cats – Gracie and Motley. At the vet clinic, he has a pit bull, Ibeezi and a kitty, Peggy Sue.
We welcome patients from all over East Texas!
Jill (Practice Manager)
Jill manages the business side of Longview Animal Hospital as Dr Foye’s right-hand woman and spouse. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1993 with a degree in communications. She loves just about any outdoor activity with the family – including biking, hiking, camping and boating.
Sasha (Office Manager/Client Care Supervisor)
The smiling face of Longview Animal Hospital is Sasha. Having joined the team in 2012, she excels at customer service and is a certified deaf/blind assistant. On a lighter note, if you happen to pass out when you realize how friendly Sasha and the rest of our staff is, don’t worry- Sasha is also CPR certified! Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her son, doing arts and crafts, playing softball and keeping up with her favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Kitrina (Head Technician, CVA II)
We were lucky to find Kitrina in 2018, as she’s already proven to be a tremendous asset to our hospital. After graduating from Lindale High School in 2011, Kitrina almost immediately started working in the field of veterinary medicine. It makes sense for this animal lover since she has everything from ferrets to horses at her house. She states that her family’s obsessions are goats and heelers. Her hobbies are fishing, football, photography and the great outdoors. She also enjoys WWE wrestling, and that’s probably a good thing so she can learn some new moves to help wrangle two daughters, a husband and so many animals at home.
Adrienne (Veterinary Technician, CVA III)
After graduating from Pine Tree High School in 2003, Adrienne started working in the veterinary field in 2005. She found her way to Longview Animal Hospital in 2019 after moving back to the great state of Texas from Mississippi, where she lived for four years. Her wealth of experience has served her well, as she is flying through her CVA (Certified Veterinary Assistant) certifications since joining our team. Proof that she loves learning new things, she just passed her CVA Level III, so congratulate her next time you are in the clinic! When she’s not taking great care of your fur babies, Adrienne enjoys refinishing old wooden furniture, painting, listening to music and hanging out with her husband and three kids.
Kena (Licensed Veterinary Technician)
A licensed veterinary technician (LVT) since 2014, Kena joined our team in October, 2018. We’ve enjoyed her bringing a wealth of knowledge and skills to the team. With plans to go to veterinary school, she moved to this area from Houston to attend Stephen F. Austin. She’s scheduled to graduate in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences. When she’s not working, she likes to volunteer at The Empty Shelter Project in Houston, helping them with their sterilization efforts. She also enjoys traveling, watching movies and hanging out with her twin sister. We sure wish she’d hurry up and graduate from vet school, because we could use her in that role even more!
Lauren (Kennel Technician)
A graduate of Pine Tree High, Lauren turned her incredible passion for animals into a career. She started at Longview Animal Hospital straight out of high school in 2006. So when Dr. Foye purchased the clinic in 2011, Lauren was part of the deal. While working at Longview Animal Hospital, Lauren earned an Associate’s Degree from Kilgore College in 2007 and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s in history and English at The University of Texas at Tyler. She has 5 pets- 3 dogs, a cat and a bird. Outside of her passion for animals of all kinds, Lauren loves antiques, cars and 1960’s/70’s rock music, especially of the British variety.
Lisa (Kennel Technician)
Karla (Client Care Specialist)
The smile you see on Karla’s face is consistent with her attitude and approach to life day after day. She assists the technicians and Dr. Foye with medical procedures and treatments. She graduated from Pine Tree High School in 2014 and earned her certificate as a veterinary assistant in the fall of 2015. When she’s not caring for your dogs and cats, there’s a good chance she’s riding 4-wheelers, canoeing, fishing, playing paintball or board games, enjoying a good movie or music, camping or spending time with friends. Even though we don’t see giraffes at Longview Animal Hospital, Karla also enjoys collecting giraffe items. With all those hobbies, it’s amazing she finds time to work!
